The Burnley Bouldering Walls are built within McConchie Reserve, an inner city reserve managed by Parks Victoria. The Burnley Bouldering Walls are located in a free open public space so are accessible for climbing 24/7. Weekends and evenings inevitably tend to be busier, particularly through the summer months, however the walls get visitors at all times. The area is now artificially lit so climbing is no longer restricted to daylight hours so the only restriction is your enthusiasm!
Access is via the southern end of Mary Street, Burnley, Melway reference 2M 2B.

WEAR: Scarf to be worn to venue. Wear tracksuit pants, or similar free movement clothing. Footwear – sneakers or similar (climbing shoes are not necessary)

Fri. 29-MAR & Mon. 01-APR-2013 Easter : Hoadley Hide
Hoadley Hide is a competition hike held each Easter in a bushland location in Victoria. Run by a team of Rovers and Venturer Leaders, each year offers new ideas and themes. In 2013, there will be 4 levels of participation. Competitive hikers, bike riders, initiative course participants and social walkers. Only one Venturer Overnight Campsite will be used, where cooking fire, toilets and other support is available, allowing social interaction.
Co-Holders (the winners of the competitive hiker group) will be recorded on the impressive Hoadley Hide Shield. All teams are required to be fully self sufficient and trained in basic hike preparation of gear and clothing, including adverse conditions, catering, pack weight and preparation of pack contents. The HH2013 second site visit is Sunday 17/02/2013 and the first site visit for HH2014 is Sunday 17/11/2013.More info at or
